Just 2 after Actress Kangana Ranaut asked for a compensation of Rs 2 Crore for her "damages", the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has told the High Court on Friday that her claims were "baseless" and "bogus".
In the additional affidavit submitted by BMC in response to the plea sent by High Court on September 15 reiterated that Kagana had carried out 'illegal' and 'unlawful additions and alterations' to her home in Pali Hill without taking the permission of the Civic body.
In her plea, Kangana had asked for a compensation of Rs 2 Crore from BMC for their "illegal demolition" of her office which contained rare artworks and had asked for them to make her home useable again.
Responding to her plea,an affidavit was filed by BMC's H Ward officer Bhagyavant Late through Advocate Joel Carlos and stated that Kagana had carried out illegal constructions to her home without informing the BMC and that is an offence and stats that she is just trying to make the BMC look bad in front of public eye. He would also state that her claims are bogus and is just a waste of time for the court.
